I'm finding myself motivated to blog and such...but I'm finding it very hard to pull out my tablet and illustrate things, mostly because I'm too lazy to drive across town to grab the necessary items. I also have the problem of being distracted by anything on the television or the interwebs. Well not it's not so much the t.v. but more the other blogs I lurk and Facespace. Yes, I lurk other people's blogs.
I'm so easily distracted that it makes it near impossible to get anything productive done. Like just now, I was looking for jobs, but considering I spend four hours of my eight to ten on the computer doing that...I feel I deserve a little break in the form of Facebook's ridiculous games. If only I could stop being so fascinated by the farms and cooking blogs...At least I've stop obsessively watching new animes...
On that note, I am what the Japanese like to call a 'fujoshi'. "...in recent times fujoshi can refer to female otaku in general..." (thank you Wiki.) I cosplay, go to cons, read manga, watch anime, draw/illustrate in a manga/anime influenced style. Now, it's not to say that my life revolves around being an otaku but simply that it's at times one of my more pronounced hobbies.
I also enjoy video games, reading on my amazing Kindle, dancing, jogging, cooking (seriously I love to cook), movies and comic books ("western comics"). But it's more that I enjoy reading a classic than partying; a night cooking together and watching the Twilight Zone than being completely absorbed by reality t.v.... For example, I'm a young woman who spends more time in front of a computer screen than is considered healthy, most women my age are out dating, partying and making horrible life decisions. So in Short I'm pretty damn boring.
Now onto Bobs. Bob is a graphic designer so if he doesn't have his laptop in hand then he's usually standing up. Even though he spends a copious amount of time on the computer, he isn't a nerd by any means. Bobs is a pretty normal guy. I'm being very lenient with the word normal here by the way. He likes watching movies, likes to play video games, although he isn't much into sports and kinda likes comics. He's fashionable, he's literally the cool guy, handsome, and a charmer. His fiance is socially awkward, nerdy (as previously stated), and not fashionable at all. In fact he usually dresses me. We are a very mis-matched pair to passersby.
I often wonder what it is about me that allows him to put up with my eccentricities, but either way I wouldn't change him out for anything. Ah yes!
We're engaged! Being the creative people that we are, and as eccentric as we are, we've been plotting out our wedding. We have a date!

Clever little monkeys aren't we?
I figured since I haven't updated in about oh, five almost six months it was time to update. Who knows, maybe some art will start to show up?
